Introduction<\/h1>

The\u00a0National Service Scheme (NSS)<\/strong>\u00a0is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various Government led community service activities & programs.<\/p>

NSS\u00a0<\/b>helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life. Students also learn other skills that help them lead a better life in various situations. It teaches you to be disciplined and organized with the objectives you set for yourself and your goals.<\/p>

The motto of National Service Scheme is\u00a0\u201cNOT ME BUT YOU\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

NSS Unit :<\/strong><\/h5>

University NSS Cell<\/strong>\u00a0has initially allotted a\u00a0NSS Unit<\/strong>\u00a0of 50 NSS volunteers from the year 2020-2021 under Self-Finance NSS Unit in our Gurukul College. Now, from the Academic Year 2022-23 , we get additional 50 NSS volunteers allotment. So, in\u00a0AY 2025-26<\/strong>, total 100 NSS volunteers actively participated in different NSS activities.<\/p>

Benefits of Being a NSS Volunteer:<\/strong><\/p>

A\u00a0NSS volunteer<\/strong>\u00a0who takes part in the community service programme would either be a college level or a senior secondary level student. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience as an accomplished social leader ,as an efficient administrator and a person who understands human nature.<\/p>

NSS Activities:<\/strong><\/p>

Residential Special Camp:<\/strong><\/p>

The Special Camp is organized every year and the duration of each camp is of 7 days with day-night boarding & lodging. These camps are held in different parts of the Villages. Each camp involves 50% of Registered NSS volunteers to undertake the scheduled activities like Shramadaan ,Village School Training, Village Street Play, Tree Palntation Drive, Interaction & Awareness Campaign.<\/p>

Regular Activities<\/strong><\/p>

Many activities are taken up by the NSS Unit in our college like Disaster Management Training Programmes, Street Plays,Tree Plantation Drives,Blood Donation Camps,Career Guidance Programmes, Seminars on Social Causes.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n
